Are those Longhorn Cows
out in the Field?
Yes they are!  We have a small herd of purebred Texas Longhorns.  Our past bull Chullualonghorn sired a few calves for us each year.  We sell the calves for beef occasionally.  Our Current bull is Chulla's son, named Charlie.

We also have mules, donkeys, and Draft Horses.

We like to let kids and adults alike see real animals!  Some kids who have visited the farm in the past were raised in the city and had never seen living cows or horses!
This is Grandad (Mike) feeding carrots to Caroline and Curly.
Cara is greeting by some long-eared friends.  These are some of our donkeys.  The tall one behind Cara is Thor, a half-bred Poitou donkey.  Poitous are a very rare, almost extinct breed from France.  Thor is a special donkey used to educate people about Poitous and donkeys in general.  He has been on TV, at the State Fair, and has his own Webpage!
The middle donkey is our "bunnydonkey" (he was born with no tail!) Rabbit, and the spotted one is Mario!  They will probably say hi to you over the fence if you see them!  (Please though, for your safety, do not cross the fences! )
I was Grown to Be a Christmas Tree
Directions - aka - how do I find you?
What Kind of trees will I find?
Are those Longhorn cows in the field?
Should I bring anything special?
Yes we had lovely trees in 2006!
So we'll see you in 2007!
And Now for 2008
2009 has LOVELY trees!
Most of our cows now are spotted, since the bull is spotted, and our mama cows mostly have nice white markings, too!
On the left is Daze, one of our mules.  In the middle is our 25-year old Mustang mare, Myryha-pony.  The big yellow girl on the right is our amber champagne Draft mare, Spirit.  She's just two years old, but is our second-tallest horse! (photo from 2005.  Myryha pony is no longer with us, she passed away of old age)
Here are two of the nice spotted calves we've had born on the farm.  They almost looked like twins!!
Caroline, one of our first Longhorns, says HI!
This is our Mulassier mare, Sonata du Capstone.  Mulassiers are a rare breed of Draft horse from France, there are only three Mulassiers in the United States. Sonata is 15  hands high at the shoulder - that's 60".  A hand is 4" - how tall are you in Hands? (That makes her right at five foot tall at the shoulder.)

Below and on the left is our Draft Mule, Princess Winnifred (Fred for short).  Fred is 16 hands tall.  Yes, she is a girl mule named Fred!

You can see Spirit, Sonata, Princess Winnifred, the cows, and the donkeys in other parts of the pasture at the farm.  Please don't try to feed fingers to them, though!!!
